Should I have stayed or was I just a fool?

I have a pending divorce. When I got together with my wife, she seemed to be more interested in doing crossword puzzles with a regular where we worked than coming to see me. I would often wait upwards of two hours, but considered this to be something she was doing to be "fashionably late." A month after our relationship began, we moved in together as the house I was renting burned down. She had been broken up with her ex for two years but still had pics and videos of him in her computer. She talked about him nonstop, and once called out his name in bed. I tried to be understanding since (at least she claims) he was her first. Things continued to go downhill but we eventually got married anyway. After five years, she seemed to be more interested in hanging out with her mother than me. We got into a fight about this last week, and she left me the next day. Two days after that she filed for divorce. I was very hurt, but looking back, I am really thinking that I should not have married her to begin with. Obviously you are only hearing my side of things, but does anyone agree? Should I have left her over her hangups about her ex?
