BSOD issue S.O.S. 10 pts?

every time I boot I get a BSOD with an error code 0x0000008e (win32k.sys), I cannot boot in safe mode, I boot from the windows setup disk and after windows setup loads files it gets me another BSOD 0x0000007b, what else can I try? Its a Dell Latitude d610 1GB RAM 1.86GHz Intel running Win XP SP2
