What exactly is a 400CI engine with the "performance option"?

My mother's car (a 1972 Plymouth Roadrunner) came factory with a 400 cubic inch motor with the "performance option". Now, what would this exactly mean vs a car with a 400ci w/o the performance option? I went to allpar and couldnt find jack on the "performance option"
