ok so i understand all the steps of meiosis and the fact that it creates haploid daughter cells which are gametes that can meet and create an embryo with a full set of choromosomes half from the father nad half from the mother. But i dunt understand when the formation of these gametes occurs...b4 the fertilization or after the fertilization of the egg by the sperm... bc apparently during meiosis crossing over occurs b.w the paretnal and maternal choromsomes but how can this occur if the sperm with the parental chromsomes hasnt met the eggbc meiosis is just supposed to form gametes so that fertilization can occur in the first place ????????? SOMEONE EXPLAIN THIS PLEEZZ..
